Abstract
Korištenje bilo kakvog lijeka može dovesti do različitnih neželjenih učinaka, tj. nuspojava. U ovom radu biti će riječ o nuspojavama koje su uzrokovane nesteroidnim antiinflamatornim lijekovima. To su lijekovi koji se koriste za smanjenje boli, ublažavanje febrilnih stanja te smanjivanje edema. Njima se liječe kronične te akutne boli. Imaju tri učinka djelovanja, a to su analgetičko, antipiretičko i protuupalno. Njihovo djelovanja zasniva se na inhibiciji izoenzima cikooksigenaze koja ima jasni protuupalni učinak. Nuspojave ovih lijekova mogu pogađati više sustava u organizmu. U probavnom sustavu dovode do boli, ulceracije ili krvarenja, zatim urinarni sustav pogađaju na način da dolazi do bubrežne disfunkcije. U kombinaciji s određenim lijekovima mogu izazvati u rijetkim slučajevim i infarkt miokarda. U većini slučajeva su ovi lijekovi sigurni i svakodnevno su u primjeni, ali uvijek postoje iznimke pa se stoga provode istraživanja da utvrdimo sigurnost i međusobnu korelaciju lijekova. Na temelju takvih prijašnjih istraživanja ja ću u ovom radu opisati i objasniti neželjene efekte NSAID lijekova.
Abstract (english)
Using any kind of drug can cause different and unwanted side effects. This paper is about side effects caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs relieve pain, decrease fever and reduce swelling. They provide analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect, and are often used to cure chronic and acute aches. NSAIDs inhibit isoenzyme cyclooxygenase which helps the reactions that produce prostaglandins. The NSAIDs side effects affect many sytems in human organism. They can cause pain, ulcerations or bleeding in the dygetive system. Furthermore, they can affect the urinary system causing renal dysfunction. In rare cases (combination with other specific drugs) they can induce heart attack. Generally these drugs are safe to use and are used on a daily base, but there are always the exceptions. Therefore, there are numerous researches which determine the safety and correlations of the NSAIDs and the other drugs. Based on these researches I will describe and explain the unwanted side effects of the NSAIDs.
