The quality of teaching affects the academic achievement of students additively and cumulatively. At the beginning of the pandemic caused by the disease COVID 19, all Croatian universities were closed, and face-to-face learning switched to e-learning. With the gradual decline in the number of infected people, the Medical Faculty of the University of Rijeka returned to contact exercises and switched to a hybrid form of teaching. At the same time, medical students were mobilized to volunteer at the COVID Hospital Center and Call Center. The aim of this research was to examine students' satisfaction with hybrid and online teaching, to determine the level of digital literacy before and during the pandemic, and to determine whether volunteering affected aspects of teaching satisfaction and digital literacy. The research was conducted on 150 clinical year students of the integrated undergraduate and graduate University Study of Medicine in the academic year 2020/2021. at the University of Rijeka. Students anonymously and voluntarily completed an online questionnaire consisting of 40 questions. Student satisfaction with hybrid teaching was rated 2.84 while satisfaction with lectures and seminars was rated 2.71. The average score of satisfaction with face-to-face exercises is significantly higher than the score of satisfaction with online exercises (P <0.001). There is no significant difference in satisfaction with hybrid and online teaching between students who volunteered at the COVID center and students who did not volunteer.
