Abstract
Naziv sindroma pečenja usne šupljine medicinski je pojam za kronično stanje očitovano kroz senzaciju pečenja, šireći se djelomično ili potpuno kroz usnu šupljinu bez očitog fizičkog uzroka. Etiologija ovog sindroma je nerijetko opisana kao ona idiopatske prirode, no ipak niz je čimbenika koji se vežu na pojavu ove smetnje. Psihofarmaci su lijekovi koji djeluju na psihičke funkcije, ponašanje i doživljavanje bolesnika. Uslijed psihofarmatske terapije postoji moguća pojava raznih nuspojava s manifestacijom na sluznici usne šupljine. U nuspojave ubrajamo: suhoću usta, pojačanu salivaciju i sam sindrom pečenja usne šupljine
Abstract (english)
The term oral burning syndrome is a medical term for a chronic condition manifested through a burning sensation, spreading partially or completely through the oral cavity without an obvious physical cause. The etiology of this syndrome is often described as idiopathic in nature, but there are a number of factors associated with the occurrence of this disorder. Psychopharmaceuticals are drugs that affect the mental functions, behavior and experience of patients. Due to psychopharmaceutical therapy there is a possible occurrence of various side effects with a manifestation on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. Side effects include: dry mouth, increased salivation and the burning syndrome of the oral cavity itself.
