Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad uvodno opisuje anatomsku građu, nastanak i glavna obilježja parodontalnih tkiva. Opisuje etiologiju i epidemiologiju šećerne bolesti, te utjecaj šećerne bolesti na parodontalna tkiva s posebnim naglaskom na koštani fundament kao najvažniji čimbenik za retenciju implantata. Spominju se mehanizam nastanka resorpcije alveolarne kosti oko već postavljenog implantata, te mogućnosti i priprema pacijenata za implantoprotetsko liječenje. Prikazan je i slučaj implantacije lateralnog drugog sjekutića u gornjoj čeljusti u slučaju hipodoncije tog zuba kod dijabetičara.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes an introductory anatomical structure, formation, and the main characteristics of periodontal tissues. Describes the etiology and epidemiology of diabetes, and the impact of diabetes on periodontal tissue with emphasis on bone foundation as the most important factor for retention of the implant. Mention is made on the mechanism of bone resorption around implants already implanted, the possibilities and prepare patients for implant treatment. Also is shown the case of the implantation of the second lateral incisor in the upper jaw, in the case of a hypodontic lateral incisor in a diabetic patient
