Abstract
Materijale u dječjoj dentalnoj medicini dijelimo na preventivne i restaurativne materijale. Preventivni materijali su antimikrobna i kemoterapijska sredstva, te materijali za pečaćenje fisura i jamica. Restaurativni materijali su materijali za nadoknadu izgubljenih tvrdih zubnih tkiva, materijali za liječenje zubne pulpe i cementi. Postupcima topikalne fluoridacije nanose se visoke koncentracije fluora na površinu zuba, koji potiče proces remineralizacije i sprječava nastanak karijesa. U prevenciji nastanka karijesa, duboke jamice i fisure pečate se materijalima za pečaćenje, stakloionomernim cementima ili kompozitnim smolama. Materijali za nadoknadu tvrdih zubnih tkiva su stakloionomerni cementi, kompozitne smole i amalgam. Najčešće korišteni materijal u dječjoj dentalnoj medicini je stakloionomerni cement, čija dobra svojstva su kemijsko vezivanje za tvrda zubna tkiva, otpuštanje fluoridnih iona, dobro marginalno brtvljenje, te mogućnost rada u uvjetima s otežanim odražavanjem suhog radnog polja. Koriste se kao materijali za pečaćenje fisura, kao trajni ispuni na mliječnim i trajnim zubima, i kao podloge ispod drugih ispuna. Materijale za endodontsko liječenje zuba dijelimo na materijale za prekrivanje pulpe, kojima se čuva vitalitet pulpe, i materijale za kanalno liječenje zuba ukoliko je ishod endodontskog zahvata devitalizacija pulpnog tkiva. Kalcijev hidroksid je najčešće korišten materijal u endodontskim zahvatima. Djeluje antiseptički, antiinflamatorno i dentinogeno na pulpno tkivo, a koristi se za direktno i indirektno prekrivanje pulpe, za definitivno punjenje kanala mliječnih zuba, te za poticanje apeksogeneze ili apeksifikacije kod mladih trajnih zuba.
Abstract (english)
Pediatric dentistry materials are divided on preventive and restorative materials. Preventive materials are antimicrobial and chemotherapeutics agents, and fissure sealants. Restorative materials are filling materials, endodontics materials and cements. With topical fluoride application high concentration of fluoride is applied on tooth's enamel in order to induce remineralization and to prevent dental caries. Restorative materials are glass ionomer cements, dental composite resins and amalgam. Glass ionomer cements are frequently used in pediatric dentistry because of its chemical adhesion on hard dental tissues, fluoride releasing, good marginal adaptation and ability to work in wet condition. They are used as fissure sealants, permanent fillings, and as lining cements under other restorative materials. Endodontics materials are used for pulp capping for keeping it vital, or as root canal material when pulp is devitalized. Calcium hydroxide is the most useful endodontics material. It has antiseptic and anti inflammatory impact on pulp, and also it induces hard tissue formation. It is used as direct and indirect pulp capping, as root canal filling, and to induce apexogenesis or apexification in young permanent teeth.
