Abstract
Ĉist zrak jedna je od osnovnih ljudskih potreba s velikim utjecajem na kvalitetu ţivota, stoga je iznimno bitno takvim ga i oĉuvati. Na podruĉju grada Rijeke i okolice kvaliteta zraka se mjeri na mjernim postajama, meĊutim ne postoji uvid u kontinuiranu prostornu raspodjelu oneĉišćujućih tvari u zraku te je stoga teško procijeniti prostorni opseg oneĉišćenja zraka. U tu svrhu koriste se prostorne interpolacijske metode kojima se moţe jasno vizualizirati disperzija zagaĊenja te izraĉunati koncentracija plinova na podruĉjima gdje mjerenja ne postoje . Svrha ovog rada bila je odrediti prostornu raspodjelu srednjih vrijednosti NO2 i SO2 izmjerenih u 2014. godini na širem podruĉju grada Rijeke. U tu svrhu korištena je deterministiĉka metoda interpolacije, metoda inverzne udaljenosti (IDW). Nakon provedene interpolacije, vrijednosti su reklasificirane te je izmjerena površina koju zauzimaju pojedine klase. Naposljetku je izmjerena i usporeĊena toĉnost interpolacije navedenih plinova. Interpolacijom su dobiveni grafiĉki prikazi prostornog rasporeda koncentracija polutanata koji ovise o meĊusobnoj udaljenosti postaja. Usporedbom površina klasa moţe se zakljuĉiti da klase najvećih koncentracija zauzimaju najmanju površinu. Usporedbom toĉnosti interpolacijskih metoda utvrĊeno je da je interpolacija SO2 bila toĉnija, najvjerojatnije zbog većeg broja postaja tj. mjernih podataka.

Clean air is one of the basic human needs with a significant impact on quality of life, so it is extremely important to preserve it clean. In the greater area of the City of Rijeka, air quality is measured at point locations (measuring stations). However, there is no information about continuous spatial distribution of pollutants and is therefore hard to estimate the spatial extent of air pollution. For this purpose often spatial interpolation methods are used. They provide a clear visualization of pollutant dispersion and concentration values in areas where there is no measurements. In this study, a continuous representation of NO2 and SO2 pollutant concentrations (annual means) measured in 2014 at the greater area of City of Rijeka has been obtained. To accomplish this task, Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) was used as deterministic method of interpolation. After interpolation, a reclassification of interpolated values was made and the surface area occupied by individual classes was measured. Finally, the accuracy of interpolation of NO2 and SO2 has been measured with cross validation metrics and compared. Comparing the class surfaces, it can be concluded that classes with the highest concentrations occupy a relatively small area. Interpolation of SO2 concentrations with IDW performed better, probably due to a larger number of stations and a finer spatial resolution of measurements.
