Abstract
Kakvoća mora za kupanje i sanitarno-tehnički uvjeti na plaţama od velikog su javnog značaja zbog moguće fekalne kontaminacije koja predstavlja rizik za zdravlje kupača. Ovim istraţivanjem obraĎeni su podaci ispitivanja na plaţi za pse na Kantridi, na dva obvezna mikrobiološka parametra - E. coli (EC) i crijevni enterokoki (EN) navedena u Uredbi (73/08), te na dodatne mikrobiološke i fizikalno-kemijske parametre. Cilj ovog rada bila je analiza i procjena kakvoće mora za kupanje i sanitarnih uvjeta na navedenoj plaţi tijekom duţeg vremenskog razdoblja. UsporeĎene su ocjene kakvoće mora dobivene rutinskim i dodatnim monitoringom na temelju izračunavanja 90-og percentila. Rezultati rutinskog monitoringa poboljšali su se nakon modernizacije kanalizacijskog sustava (od 2003.). Ocjene temeljene na rezultatima dodatnog monitoringa su lošije, obzirom da su detektirani ranojutarnji i noćni pikovi fekalnog opterećenja. Provedena je korelacijska analiza dnevnih srednjih vrijednosti izmeĎu ispitivanih mikrobioloških i fizikalno-kemijskih parametara u dodatnom monitoringu. Mikrobiološki pokazatelji (EC i EN) pokazuju meĎusobnu izvrsnu pozitivnu korelaciju, kao i značajnu korelaciju s dodatnim indikatorom fekalnog onečišćenja CP. Korelirani indikatori fekalnog onečišćenja pokazali su negativnu korelaciju sa salinitetom. Izvrsna pozitivna korelacija zabiljeţena je i izmeĎu heterotrofnih bakterija na 22 ºC i 37 ºC, dok ostali mikrobiološki parametri nisu pokazali meĎusobnu korelaciju. Od ispitanih fizikalno-kemijskih parametara salinitet i mutnoća su se istaknuli kao značajni pokazatelji onečišćenja. Dugogodišnja ispitivanja pokazala su da na kakvoću mora plaţe za pse na Kantridi utječe nepriključenost pojedinih objekata na kanalizacijsku mreţu, moguće popuštanje privatnih septičkih jama, te prisutnost aktivnih priobalnih izvora.

Bathing water quality and sanitary-technical conditions on beaches are great public concern because of possibility of fecal contamination, which presents risk to bather´s health. This study were analyzed sea water quality data of beach for dogs on Kantrida, on two mandatory microbiological parameters - Escherichia coli (EC) and intestinal enterococci (EN), proposed in Regulation (73/08), and on the additional microbiological and physico-chemical parameters. Goal of this study was to analyze and estimate bathing water quality and sanitary conditions over a long period of time at respective beach. Results of routine and additional monitoring of water quality were compared on the basis of calculating the 90th percentile. Results of routine monitoring were improved following the modernization of the sewage system (since 2003.). Grades based on the results of additional monitoring are worse, because early morning and night peaks of faecal load were detected. Correlation analysis of daily mean values between examined microbiological and physico-chemical parameters in additional monitoring was conducted. Tested microbiological parameters (EC and EN) show excellent positive correlation with each other, and significant correlation with the additional indicator of faecal contamination CP. Correlated indicators of faecal contamination (EC, EN and CP) showed a negative correlation with salinity. Excellent positive correlation was observed between heterotrophic plate count at 22 ºC and 37 ºC, while other microbiological parameters showed no correlation with each other. Of the examined physico-chemical parameters, salinity and turbidity were distinguished as important indicators of pollution. Long-term studies have shown that the sea water quality of beach for dogs on Kantrida is under the influence of individual facilities disconnect to the public sewerage system, failure of private septic tanks, and the presence of active coastal springs.
