Abstract
Opisana su četiri tipa ponašanja roditelja u ordinaciji dentalne medicine: autoritarni (totalitarni, strogi), autoritativni (demokratski, balansirani), permisivni (popustljivi) i neuključeni tip. Nezaposlene majke pokazuju veći stupanj dentalne anksioznosti.

Parallel abstract (English)
This thesis has provided the definition of early caries in children along with definitions of dental fear and anxiety, and their influence on everyday work in dental practice. In dental practice, there are four recognized parenting styles authoritarian (totalitarian, strict), authoritative (democratic, balanced), permissive (indulgent) and uninvolved type. Moreover, well known child development theories are described alongside periods of child development with age. The study explains the degree of association between the existence of early caries in frightened children and the level of mothers' dental anxiety. It was revealed how mothers' level of dental anxiety had no significant role in the existance of the early childrens caries in their children. The anxiety occurs as a result of poor insight into the process that will take place in the mouth and because of the sound that dental instruments make. The mothers' employment status turned out to be a significant factor. Unemployed mothers show a greater degree of dental anxiety.
