Abstract
Pokrovne proteze su potpune proteze koje se izgrađuju preko jednog ili više sačuvanih zuba, korjenova ili implatata te ih pokrivaju odnosno leže na istima. Glavna prednost takvih proteza naspram konvencionalnih potpunih je usporena resorpcija grebena zbog raspodjele opterećenja na zub ili implantat. Kako bi se poboljšala retencija i stabilizacija koristi se nekoliko vrsta etečmena i teleskopskih sustava. Čuvanje nekoliko preostalih zuba ili korjenova i izrada pokrovne proteze može biti dobra psihička priprema za kasniju izradu potpunih proteza. Kod bezubih pacijenata koji nisu zadovoljni retencijom i stabilizacijom svojih potpunih proteza izrađuju se pokrovne proteze na implantatima. Minimalan broj implantata za maxillu je četiri dok za mandibulu dva.
Abstract (english)
Overdentures are complete dentures that are built over one or more preserved teeth, roots or implant and cover or are lying on them. The main advantage of such prostheses compared to conventional complete dentures is lower residual ridge resorption due to the load distribution on the tooth or implant. In order to improve retention and stability there are several types of attachments and telescopic system. Keeping a few remaining teeth or roots and making overdenture can be a good mental prearrangement for the total dentures. Edentulous patients who are not satisfied with the retention and stabilization of their complete dentures are made overdenture on implants. Minimum
