Abstract
Preosjetljivost dentina je bolno kliničko stanje koje pogađa oko 30% odraslih osoba, a najčešće se javlja u dobi između trideset i četrdeset godina. To stanje se javlja zbog gubitka cakline, zubnog cementa ili povlačenja gingive u području zubnog vrata. Bol se manifestira pojavom kratkotrajne i oštre boli, najčešće potaknute termičkim podražajima, kiselom hranom i pićima. Da bi se javila preosjetljivost dentina, navedeni podražaji dovode do pokretanja dentinske tekućine, koja podražuje živčane završetke zbog čega se stvara i prenosi osjet boli. Dentinska preosjetljivost najčešće je posljedica međudjelovanja nekoliko uzročnih čimbenika kao što su erozija, atricija, abrazija i abfrakcija. Nepravilna tehnika četkanja zuba i konzumacija kiselih pića i hrane može dovesti do preosjetljivog dentina i trošenja cakline. Sredstva za suzbijanje dentinske preosjetljivosti dijele se na sredstva koja pacijent samostalno primjenjuje u kućnoj upotrebi u obliku desenzibilizirajuće paste i otopine za ispiranje usne šupljine, dostupne u drogerijama i ljekarnama te sredstva koja se koriste u ordinaciji dentalne medicine a koje primjenjuje stomatolog, kao što su lakovi koji potiču odlaganje minerala u dentinskim kanalićima i svjetlosno stvrdnjavajuće smole koje prekrivaju dentinske kanaliće.
Abstract (english)
Dentine hypersensitivity is a painful clinical condition that affects about 30% of adults and most commonly occurs between the ages of thirty and forty. This condition occurs due to loss of enamel, dental cementum or reccesion of the gums in the cervical area. Pain is short and sharp, and most often triggered by thermal stimuli, acid foods and drinks. In order to cause dentin hypersensitivity, these stimuli lead to the activation of dentinal fluid that stimulates the nerve endings, which then creates and transmits a sensation of pain. Dentine hypersensitivity is most often caused by the interaction of several factors such as erosion, atricia, abrasion, and abfraction. Improper brushing technique and consumption of acid beverages and food can lead to hypersensitive dentin and enamel wear. Dentine hypersensitivity can be treated with agents that the patient self-administers at home in the form of a desensitizing paste and mouthwash solution, available in drugstores and pharmacies. Treatment can also be provided by a dentist in the dental practice with varnishes which stimulate the deposition of minerals in the dentinal tubules, and light-curing resins that cover the dentinal tubules.
