Abstract
Kombinacija dviju ili više dentalnih legura u uvjetima usne šupljine može reagirati i stvoriti različite spojeve koji bi mogli dovesti do pojave problema. Jedna od pojava koja se tada javlja u usnoj šupljini je korozija. Razumijevanje galvanske korozije omogućava bolju procjenu izbora legura koje će se kombinirati, posebno ako se koriste kao suprastruktura na titanskim implantatima. Galvanska korozija je ubrzana korozija koja nastaje kada dva različita metala dođu u dodir u korozivnom mediju. Da bi se odredila otpornost legure prema koroziji u različitim uvjetima, mogu se mjeriti električna struja nastala kao posljedica korozije ili količina oslobođenih metalnih iona.

A combination of two or more dental alloys in the oral environment can react and form diverse compounds, which could lead to oral problems. Corrosion is one of the phenomena occurring in the oral environment. An understanding of galvanic corrosion, enables the choice of alloys to be used in combination with each other to be better evaluated, especially when used for suprastructures on titanium implants. Galvanic corrosion is an accelerated corrosion which is induced when different metals come into contact in a corrosive medium. The electrical current induced by corrosion, or the quantity of released metallic ions can be measured to quantify the alloys resistance to corrosion under different conditions.
