Abstract
Energetski napitci se opisuju kao bezalkoholni napitci koji povećavaju mentalne i kognitivne sposobnosti, budnost te fizičku i psihičku izdrţljivost. Sve je veći trend konzumacije energetskih napitaka u svijetu, ali i kod nas. Kao najveći potrošači ovoga proizvoda pokazala se populacija mladih stoga je u ovom radu proučavano znanje, stav i učestalost konzumacije energetskih napitaka meĎu studentima Medicinskog, Tehničkog, Ekonomskog fakulteta te Fakulteta za menadţment u turizmu i ugostiteljstvu Sveučilišta u Rijeci. Provedeno je anketno ispitivanje u trajanju od tri mjeseca te je sudjelovalo 350 studenata. Analizom podataka dobiveni su rezultati iz kojih se moţe zaključiti kako 44% ispitanika konzumira energetske napitke te je dokazano kako su studentice bolje upoznate s nuspojavama i dostupnosti energetskih napitaka. Vaţno je educirati studente o mogućim nuspojavama nakon konzumacije energetskih napitaka kako bi se u budućnosti smanjila njihova potrošnja.
Abstract (english)
Energy drinks are described as nonalcoholic beverages which raise mental and cognitive abilities, wakefulness, physical and psychological durability. The trend of energy beverage consumption is rising in the world, as well in Croatia. Due to the fact that the biggest consumers are the youth, this masters thesis will study the knowledge, attitude and consumption rate of energy drinks between the Medical, Technical studies, Economy and Tourism management students in Rijeka. A three month survey was conducted and 350 students participated. After analysing the results, it was concluded that 44% of the participants consume energy beverages, and also it is shown that the females know more about the side effects of energy drinks, as well as its availability. It is important to educate the students about possible side effects of energy drink consumption, with the goal of reducing its consummation.
