Abstract (croatian)
Prikazana je definicija, klasifikacija, dijagnostika i tretman astme, kronične upalne bolesti disajnih puteva koja je praćena sporadičnom bronhoopstrukcijom, otežanim disanjem i zviždanjem u prsima. Dijagnoza se postavlja na osnovi kliničko-laboratorijskih parametara, a prema težini kliničke slike dijeli se na četiri stepena, od kojih svaki ima svoje specifičnosti i pripadajć}u terapiju. Globalna inicijativa za astmu (GINA) klasificirala je lijekove u dvije skupine: simptomatske i osnovne. Poduka oboljelih je integralni dio liječenja astme i ne smije se zaobići
Abstract (english)
Definition, classification, diagnostic and treatment have been demonstrated in the article. Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of respiratory tract associated with sporadic seizures of bronchoconstriction, dispnea and wheezing. The diagnosis is based on clinical and laboratory parameters. According to clinical severity the clinical picture of asthma is divided in four steps each bearing its own characteristics and related therapy. Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), recommend and classified asthma medications as quick relief and controllers medication. Patients’ education is the integral part of asthma treatment and should never be bypassed.
