Krajem veljače dolazi do smanjenja broja oboljelih.
Abstract (english) Influenza is a contagious disease caused by an influenza virus, it is easily spread. Because of permanent genetic changes within the virus, a vaccine made for the previous flu season may not be useful in the next year, so people are repeatedly ill. Influenza is a seasonal disease, meaning it does not appear throughout the year. It only occurs in the coldest part of the year in Europe, from December to April. The first largest number of ill people appears in the second half of December, and in the second half of January, the number of patients continues to increase due to school attendance and people return from winter vacations. That is why it is more patients, so it is called the peak of the epidemic. At the end of February, there is a decrease in the number of people. Objective: To show the trend of flu in the period from 2012 to 2017 in Pgţ. Subjects and Methods: The data from 2012 to 2017, which were given for the purpose of research, are from the Public Health Institute Pgţ in Rijeka, from the epidemiological department. Respondents were all those who had been affected by the flu in these times. Results: According to the data, the most sick people in Pgţ was in 2014/2015, with a total number of 8334. The age group with the most illnesses in that period and all other flu seasones was 30 to 64 years. Other age groups also had a greater number of patients compared to other periods. The least affected were the season before, 2013/2014. The total number of patients was 698, where the age group from 30 to 64 was the most affected in that season. Of those who died of the flu were 3 out of the 65+ age group, the closest to us in 2016 / 2017. Years before were no deaths. Influenza season fluctuation data in 2016/2017 showed us that it is the culmination of a flu epidemic in January, with the total number of people affected was 1688. The beginning of the season marked November with the smallest number of patients (2), where June was the end of epidemic with 0 ill. Conclusion: Influenza is a global public health and macroeconomic problem and seasonal flu vaccine is the most effective protective measure against the disease. The results obtained are expected, as the peak of the epidemic is expected at the beginning of the year, ie in the winter month
