Abstract
Uvod: Epilepsija je jedna od najčešćih neuroloških bolesti današnjice. Otprilike 65 milijuna ljudi u svijetu boluje od epilepsije. Ukoliko je uzrok nastanka epilepsije poznat tada se govori o simptomatskoj epilepsiji, dok se epilepsija kojoj uzrok nije poznat naziva idiopatska epilepsija. Dijagnoza se postavlja na temelju: anamnestičkih podataka, neurološkog pregleda te elektroencefalografa. Liječenje se provodi antiepilepticima, kod kojih postoji mogućnost razvoja nuspojava. Kod oboljelih postoji povećani rizik od nastanka depresije. Depresija može dovesti do suicidnog ponašanja. Osoba koja želi dozvolu za držanje i nošenje oružja mora zadovoljiti određene zdravstvene zahtjeve. Epilepsija predstavlja prepreku za dobivanje dozvole za držanje i nošenje oružja. Cilj istraživanja: Prepostavka ovog istraživanja jest da epilepsija predstavlja prepreku za dozvolu za držanje i nošenje oružja. U ciljeve ovog istraživanja ubrajaju se: obavljene kliničke pretrage i nalazi, obavljene laboratorijske pretrage i nalazi te razgovor s psihologom i psihijatrom. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 32 ispitanika, koji su odabrani slučajnim odabirom. Metoda istraživanja se temelji na obradi podataka. Podaci uzeti iz zdravstvenih kartona svakog od ispitanika su: godište, visina, težina, krvni tlak, puls, oftalmološki nalazi, elektrokardiogram (EKG), laboratorijski nalazi, postavljena dijagnoza te rješenje o sposobnosti/nesposobnosti. Rezultati: Iz rezultata je vidljivo kako se najveći broj ispitanika, od ukupnog broja svih ispitanika, nalazi u rasponu godina od 56 do 71. To iznosi 34% od svih ispitnika. Iz dobivenih rezultata se može uvidjeti da od 32 ispitanika, njih 91% je ocijenjeno kao sposoban, dok je njih 9% ocijnjeno kao nesposoban. Od 32 ispitanika uključenim u istraživanje: 88% nema dijagnozu, 3% boluje od depresije, 3% boluje od leukemije i 6% boluje od epilepsije. Zaključci: Svi ispitanici koji nemaju nikakvu dijagnozu ocijenjeni su kao sposobni. Također jedna osoba oboljela od epilepsije ocjenjena je kao sposobna jer se epileptični napadaji ne pojavljuju više od 18 mjeseci te nema nikakvih nuspojava zbog korištenja antiepileptika.

Introduction: Today epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases. Approximately 65 million of people suffer from epilepsy. When we know the cause of epilepsy then we talk about symptomatic epilepsy. Idiopathic epilepsy has an unknown cause. Diagnosis is based on: medical history, neurological examination and electroencephalography. Epilepsy is treated with antiepileptics. Antiepileptics can cause side effects. There is an increased risk of depression. Depression can lead to suicidal behavior. A person who wants fire arm license for holding and carrying out weapons must satisfy health requirements. Epilepsy is barrier for that. Aim: Hypothesis claims that epilepsy is barrier for fire arm license for holding and carrying out weapons. Aims of this study include: clinical results, laboratory tests and interview with a psychologist and psychiatrist. Subjects and methods: The research included 32 subjects, who were selected randomly. The method of research is based on data processing. The data taken from the medical records of each of the subjects are: age, height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, ophthalmic findings, electrocardiogram (ECG), laboratory findings, diagnosis and solution of the ability / disability. Results: The results show that the greatest number of respondents, of the all respondents, is in the age from 56 to 71. It amounts to 34% of respondents. From the results it can be seen that of the 32 respondents, 91% is rated as capable, whereas 9% rated as unfit. Of 32 subjects included in the research: 88% do not have a diagnosis, 3% suffered from depression, 3% suffered from leukemia and 6% suffers from epilepsy. Conslusion: All respondents who have no diagnosis were assessed as capable. Also one person with epilepsy has been assessed as capable because that person does not have epileptic attacks more than 18 months and side effects of antiepileptic drugs.
