Abstract
Hemostaza je složeni proces u kojem sudjeluju endotel krvnih žila, sustav zgrušavanja, trombociti, sustav fibrinolize i cirkulirajući antikoagulansi, a čiji je cilj da krv unutar krvne žile bude u tekućem obliku. Prilikom zgrušavanja krvi odvijaju se 3 važna koraka. U prvom dolazi do kaskadne reakcije u kojoj sudjeluju brojni krvni koagulacijski faktori. U drugom koraku aktivator protrombina pospješuje pretvorbu protrombina u trombin. U trećem koraku trombin djeluje kao enzim za pretvorbu fibrinogena u fibrinske niti. Sklonost krvarenju može nastati zbog poremećaja stijenke krvne žile, trombocitopenije ili poremećaja faktora koagulacije. Sklonost zgrušavanju krvi očituje se u obliku tromboza i embolija. Kod tromboze je riječ o postojanju ugruška u nekoj krvnoj žili, a koji je na tom mjestu i nastao. Embolija nastaje kad se kompletan ugrušak ili samo jedan dio otrgne i dospije na neko drugo mjesto u krvožilnom sustavu. Arterijska tromboza najčešće nastaje kao posljedica oštećenja endotela. U venama pak zbog sporog toka krvi može doći do nagomilavanja pojedinih koagulacijskih faktora koji mogu potaknuti proces zgrušavanja krvi.
Abstract (english)
Hemostasis is a complex process involving blood vessels endothelium, coagulation system, platelets, fibrinolysis system and circulating anticoagulants, with the aim of keeping blood inside the blood vessels in fluid form. Three important steps are happening during blood clotting. During first a cascade reaction occurs in which many blood coagulation factors are involved. During second step prothrombin activator facilitates prothrombin conversion to thrombin. During third step thrombin acts as a enzyme converting fibrinogen in fibrin threads. The tendency to bleed can occur due to vascular wall disorders, thrombocytopenia, or coagulation factor disorders. The tendency to blood clotting is manifested in the form of thrombosis and embolism. Thrombosis is a clot in the blood vessel at the site of its formation. The embolism occurs when a complete clot or just a part of the clot is released and reaches another place in the vascular system. Arterial thrombosis usually occurs as a result of endothelial damage.
