Abstract (Croatian)
Kompleksni regionalni bolni poremećaj (COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME · CRPS) sindrom je obiljžæen prisutnošću stalne boli, alodinijom i hiperalgezijom, a bolni podražaj nije proporcionalan s veličinom ozljede. U sklopu sindroma javlja se edem, promjena krvnog protoka u koži, uključujući promjenu boje, znojenja i temperature kože. Razlikujemo dva tipa sindroma: CRPS tip I., prije poznat kao refleksna simpatiËča distrofija (RSD) bez kliničkih znakova periferne ozljede živca, i CRPS tip II., prije poznat kao kauzalgija pri kojoj je dijagnosticirana ozljeda perifernog živca. Algoritmi terapije CPRS-a temelje se na ranom prepoznavanju i ranom postavljanju dijagnoze, agresivnom multidisciplinarnom pristupu terapiji i psihološkoj podršci te edukaciji bolesnika. Rana dijagnostika i pravilan izbor terapije vode k boljoj prognozi bolesti.
Abstract (English)
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome - CRPS is a syndrome characterized by continuing pain, allodynia or hyperalgesia, in which pain is out of proportion with the inciting event. The syndrome is associated with the evidence of edema, changes in skin blood flow including color and temperature changes, or abnormal sweating activity in the region of pain. There are two types of CRPS. CRPS Type I, previously known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) without presence of a known nerve injury. CRPS type II, previously known as causalgia with antecedent nerve injury. The principles of treating CRPS are: early recognition and diagnosis, early multidisciplinar and holistic approach and therapy, psychological support, including patient education. Early diagnosis and treatment improve the prognosis
