Abstract
Iako se pluća ne mogu prikazati na ultrazvučnim slikama možemo se poslužiti artefaktima koji nastaju radi specifičnosti prolaska zvučnog vala kroz tkiva kako bi prepoznali određene plućne patologije. Najvažnije karakteristike UTZ pregleda u JILu su njegova dostupnost, ponovljivost, neškodljivost i relativno niska cijena. U nekim situacijama ultrazvuk može imati prednosti nad konvencionalnim slikovnim metodama. Prilikom izvođenja UTZ pretrage potrebno je prepoznati pleuralnu liniju, njene pomake te određene artefakte kao što su A i B-linije. Za kliničku evaluaciju plućnih patologija pomoću ultrazvuka koristi se BLUE protokol, koji na osnovu ultrazvučnih obilježja u određenim točkama svrstava UTZ nalaz u 7 protokola. UTZ sam po sebi nije dovoljan za postavljanje konačne dijagnoze nego se uvijek postavlja u određeni klinički kontekst, predstavlja važno dijagnostičko oruđe u identifikaciji plućne patologije.

Although the lungs cannot be shown on the ultrasound images we can use certain artefact which occur because of the way sonic wave interacts whit the tissue to recognize certain pulmonary pathology. The most important characteristic of ultrasonographic imaging in the ICU is its availability, reproducibility, safety and relatively low cost. In some situations, ultrasound can have advantages over conventional imaging methods. During a US examination, it is necessary to recognize the plural line, pleural sliding and certain artifacts such as A and B lines. In the clinical evaluation of lung pathology by means of ultrasound the BLUE protocol is used which classifies US images in 7 protocols based on specific characteristics at certain points. The US itself is not sufficient for a final diagnosis, but wived on in the clinical context can be an important diagnostic tool in the identification of lung pathology.
