Abstract
Nošenje potpunih proteza može nepovoljno utjecati na zdravlje oralnih ali i protezi priležećih tkiva. Svrha ovog rada bila je procijeniti razinu općeg zadovoljstva, žvakanjem, govorom i estetikom pacijentice konvencionalnom potpunom protezom te pokrovnom protezom retiniranom dvama implantatima. Pacijentici su nakon procjene svih parametara zadovoljstva izrađene nove pokrovne proteze retinirane dvama implantatima s lokatorima. Mjesec dana kasnije pacijentici smo ponovno procijenili parametre zadovoljstva. Rezultati su pokazali da je pacijentica bila općenito zadovoljnija ali i zadovoljnija žvakanjem, govorom i estetikom pokrovnih proteza na dvama implantatima s lokatorima u usporedbi s konvencionalnom potpunom protezom. Može se zaključiti kako pokrovne proteze na dvama implantatima s lokatorima omogućuju bolju funkciju protetskog nadomjeska u usporedbi s konvencionalnom potpunom protezom.
Abstract (english)
Wearing complete dentures may have adverse effects on the health of both the oral and the denture-supporting tissues. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of patient general satisfaction, as well as satisfaction with chewing ability, speech ability and esthetics in patient wearing conventional complete denture and 2-implant-retained overdenture with locator attachments. After they assessed all satisfaction parameters they received new 2- implant-retained overdenture with locator attachments. One month later the patient was asked to assess the same satisfaction parameters. The result revealed that the patient general satisfaction level, as well as her satisfaction with chewing ability, speech ability and esthetics was higher in patient wearing 2-implant-retained overdenture than in patient wearing conventional complete denture. Therefore, it can be concluded that 2-implant-retained overdenture with locator attachments provide better prosthetic function than conventional complete denture.
